Are you looking for a venue where your school, church, or corporate team can go on an adventure camp? Magoebaskloof Adventures has one of the most pristine locations in South Africa and a great deal to offer in the adventure department. We are situated on the banks of the Letaba river overlooking the beautiful Wolkberg mountains. These mountains are a north eastern subrange of the Drankensberg escarpment and it is here that you will find the highest point in Limpopo, the Iron Crown which is situated at approximately 2200m above sea-level. Hiking in the Wolkberg when on an adventure camp is nothing short of spectacular and groups are sure to make memories to last a lifetime.
Naturally, camping at Magoebaskloof Adventures allows groups to take full advantage of the pristine surroundings through its outdoor adventure programs that include team-building, tubing on the upper Letaba, canopy touring, paint ball, abseiling, hiking and more. We offer adventure activities that allow campers to be challenged and attain personal growth whilst having lots of fun. School camps in particular assist in cultivating independence in a safe and fun environment which has just the right amount of rustic. A wonderful adventure activity for corporate team-building is our Dirt Dash facility that features 21 obstacles. Getting down and dirty will definitely allow groups to challenge themselves whilst getting to know one another a little better.
We are situated between Haenertsburg and Tzaneen in the beautiful George’s Valley. With a four hour drive from Johannesburg, Gauteng, it is definitely the perfect venue for your adventure camp!
Fancy getting dirty for a cause? A very good cause! Well then you need to sign yourself and five buddies up to join the Tzaneen Care Group (TCG) for a roll in the mud at Magoebaskloof Adventures on Saturday the 21st of April 2018.
This is an adventure activity with a difference that was started last year. For one day of the year we are not about canopy tours, abseiling, school camps, paint balling, kloofing or tubing. We are about 21 muddy obstacles, dress up and loads of fun! It is the perfect way to show your support for a non-profit organisation that gives much needed care and support to predominantly cancer patients in the Tzaneen region.
A bit of background information about the TCG. The group was founded in 1989 when the need arose for volunteers who were prepared to help care for cancer patients, especially the terminally ill. There was no Hospice in town and therefore no haven for terminally ill cancer patients. Through many generous donations the TCG came into being resulting in a peaceful haven that is unlike a hospital environment. At the TCG the terminally ill can spend their last days surrounded by their loved ones and under the watchful eye of trained staff. The Tzaneen Care Group is a registered non-profit company solely reliant on the goodwill and donations from the community and the proceeds of the Dirt Dash will therefore go to the upkeep and running of the organisation for the next year.
This year’s Dirt Dash promises to be muddier and dirtier than last year’s so bring your family, friends or company for a team-building session and join in the fun! For more information please contact admin@tzaneencaregroup.co.za or Melissa Strydom on 083 635 4132.
We hope to see you there!
Cheers,
